The Role
You’ll be the go-to expert responsible for keeping our facility, production equipment, and machinery in peak condition. This is a hands-on role that combines troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with production teams to eliminate downtime and improve processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform skilled repairs and maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns using schematics, blueprints, manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and extend equipment life
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery; install new or refurbished components with precision
- Partner with production operators and supervisors to identify recurring issues and implement lasting solutions
- Recommend equipment upgrades or modifications and coordinate with outside contractors when needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inventory of spare parts/tools, and warranty documentation
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
- Champion safety—strict adherence to LOTO, PPE, and all OSHA-compliant practices
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and running like a well-oiled machine (literally)
What You Bring
- 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (metalworking a strong plus)
- Proven expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Comfortable with precision measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Solid computer skills—experience with Microsoft Office a plus
- Excellent problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Outstanding safety record and commitment to safe work practices
- Strong communication skills—you’ll be interacting with operators, supervisors, and vendors daily
