What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior System Administrator position at Integral Federal?
Overview:
The Senior System Administrator is responsible for planning and implementing IT capacity management across resource, service, and business domains to ensure optimal performance and scalability. This role ensures that information and technology services consistently meet expected performance levels while delivering the full spectrum of Information Technology (IT) Delivery and Operations Support Services (DOSS) in support of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) mission.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement operational server systems and prototypes according to engineering data and Government requirements
- Collaborate with Network and System Engineers, vendors, and other personnel to identify, define, and solve trending or developmental problems; maintain, troubleshoot, and repair systems infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Five years of detailed technical experience in system engineering or a related field within the last seven years
- Experience in prioritizing system outages, projects, and tasks while providing technical assistance and resolution to the team to ensure optimal system performance
- Extensive knowledge of systems principles, protocols, and design to evaluate and gain optimal performance
- Experience with cloud engineering and migration strategies, and ability to communicate, coordinate, and resolve technical issues with data center engineering on systems that are maintained at each data center location.
