FP&A Analyst with Security Clearance

FP&A Analyst Location: Tysons Corner, VA (Hybrid) This role is based in the company’s Tysons Corner, VA office with a hybrid schedule; two days in the office and three days remote. As a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst at Integral Federal, you will support company growth and optimal financial outcomes. The FP&A Analyst plays an important part in the company’s short-term and long-term forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. This is a visible role for a self-motivated individual where you will collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities * Performance Measurement – Participate in the design and tracking of key performance indicators, creating budget vs. actual analyses, financial statement analysis, operating expense analysis, identifying trends/business drivers, and internal benchmarking.

• Financial Reporting – Create ongoing management reporting for executives, the Board of Directors, and internal stakeholders; assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks, ascertain the impact on forward-looking projections, and effectively communicate these findings to senior leadership. * Budgeting/Forecasting/Planning – Provide analytical and business support including financial statement analysis, gross margin analysis, business performance commentary, forecasting, trend identification, and strategic planning.
• Indirect Rates & Compliance – Develop, monitor, and forecast indirect rates (fringe, overhead, and G&A); support incurred cost submissions and provisional billing rate analysis; and review cost allowability under FAR Part 31 and CAS.
• Pricing Support – Partner with Contracts and Business Development to provide rate and cost inputs for proposals, ensuring alignment with the annual budget.
• Month-End Close & Variance Analysis – Support the month-end close, analyze variances to budget and forecast, and explain key drivers to leadership.
• Ad Hoc Analysis – Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and scenario models to support executive decision-making.
• Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline FP&A processes and reporting, including better use of Costpoint and/or Unanet functionality. Qualifications Required: * Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of progressive finance experience at a government contracting organization.
• Advanced Excel skills, with experience building dynamic financial and operational models.
• Experience with preparing Government contract invoices - cost-plus, Time and material and Firm Fixed price type invoices.
• Generated various reports through the Costpoint system and communicated with Program/Project Managers and Financial Analysts/Managers to ensure billing costs were accurate.
• Ensured that costs aligned with the contracts correctly and created billing reconciliations as needed.
• Communicated funding/unbilled issues with appropriate management.
• Assisted in project setup for newly awarded contracts for charging and billing purposes.
• Created unbilled analysis monthly for existing contract review.
• Assisted in the Accounts Receivable collection process.
• Ability to work with large datasets, evaluate financial data, and identify business trends.
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) as they pertain to indirect rate structures and cost allowability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior leadership. Preferred: * Advanced experience with Costpoint and/or Unanet.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, for building financial dashboards and reports.
• Experience using Power Query to automate data extraction, cleansing, and transformation.
• Experience using generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting.
• Sound judgment in validating AI-generated outputs for accuracy and in safeguarding sensitive and proprietary financial data when using AI tools. Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 The above salary range represents a general guideline. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and/or discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
