What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Content Automation Intern (Summer 2026) position at Integral Development Corp.?
Location
Palo Alto, CA (on-site, 3–4 days/week)
Duration
10–12 weeks, starting June 2026
Reports to
[Head of Product, Engineering Manager]
Works closely with
Our Senior Technical Writer
Our Company
Integral (www.integral.com) has delivered the only multi-sided trading network for foreign exchange. The platform empowers participants across the entire FX market to configure and operate their own automated, unique, private FX business. Integral is the world's most advanced cloud-based eFX platform. Integral's solutions are delivered On Demand enabling FX businesses to flexibly enter new markets quickly and scale efficiently without owning and operating any IT infrastructure of their own.
About The Role
Our engineering team ships fast, and our senior technical writer has built deep institutional knowledge of how every feature works - the documentation in Confluence is technically excellent. The gap is the last mile: getting that content out of Confluence and into the formats our customers, field teams, and support chatbot actually use. Today that is a manual, time-consuming process.
You will spend the summer building the pipeline and tooling that closes that gap. This is a hybrid role: part engineering (scripting, APIs, AI tooling), part content strategy (understanding what customers need and how to present it). You won't be writing docs from scratch - you will be amplifying the work of someone who already does that well.
What You Will Work On
How production content infrastructure works at a technical product company, how to ship AI-powered internal tools responsibly, and how product, engineering, and field teams actually consume documentation. You will get meaningful ownership of a project with visible impact.

What You Will Work On
- Build an automated publishing pipeline from Confluence to our public help center, in-app guidance, and sales enablement surfaces - so a single source of truth propagates everywhere it needs to go
- Prototype AI-assisted tooling to transform internal technical docs into customer-facing content (value-oriented rewrites, summaries, FAQs) with human review
- Set up a chatbot, search knowledge base fed by our docs, and evaluate retrieval quality
- Ship at least one production improvement by end of summer - e.g., auto-generated release notes, an in-app help widget, or a Slack bot for field teams
- Document the system you build so the team can maintain and extend it
How production content infrastructure works at a technical product company, how to ship AI-powered internal tools responsibly, and how product, engineering, and field teams actually consume documentation. You will get meaningful ownership of a project with visible impact.
Who We Are Looking For
- Current student (undergrad or graduate) in CS, technical communication, information science, or a related field - or a strong self-taught candidate with a portfolio
- Comfortable writing code: Python or TypeScript, REST APIs, basic familiarity with Git
- Strong writing skills in English - can take a dense technical description and make it clear for a non-engineer
- Has played with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) on at least one project
- Curious about product and customer experience, not just the tech
- Experience with Confluence API, static site generators (Docusaurus, MkDocs), or CMS platforms
- Familiarity with RAG systems, vector databases, or search tooling
- Past internship or project in developer tools, technical writing, or product marketing
- Competitive intern compensation,
- Housing stipend for relocating interns,
- Close mentorship from both engineering and our senior writer,
- Chance to ship something real.
