Job Summary: Work in a dynamic, short-term residential treatment program to help support stabilization and continuity of care for adult individuals experiencing a crisis episode. This Peer Support Specialist (PSS) position will work to serve clients in a residential setting. The primary duties include providing peer support for clients working on ongoing stabilization with therapeutic interventions, relapse prevention services, and facilitating transition and linkage for continuity of care to individuals experiencing challenges with mental health and/or substance abuse, homelessness, and criminal justice involvement within the community. The PSS will assist with guiding and coordinating clients' treatment planning to include their desired goals and identified tasks for client self-care through lived experience and applicable skill sets. The PSS will be working alongside the multi-disciplinary team staff to comply with and adhere to contractual criteria, agency guidelines, and program requirements. The PSS will work in close collaboration with the Program Manager (PM) as well as other personnel and partners to continuously assess, develop, and refine the service delivery system to assist clients' success, offering optimal resources with compassion and using evidence-based practices. The PSS may engage with other community supporting stakeholders to promote cohesive, comprehensive, quality, and effective therapeutic diversion and deflection for individuals to be able to establish a productive and positive foundation for sustainable, independent, and healthier living.
Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Workdays: Monday - Friday.
Workhours: 6:00PM - 10:00PM
Salary: $21.66 an hour, plus an additional 18% crisis stipend.
Position may be eligible for an additional shift differential pay.

Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Peer Specialist Supervisor Certification (PSS).
Workdays: Monday - Friday.
Workhours: 6:00PM - 10:00PM
Salary: $21.66 an hour, plus an additional 18% crisis stipend.
Position may be eligible for an additional shift differential pay.
- Second Shift: $3.25/hour.
- Third Shift: $7.25/hour.
- Weekend Shift: $8.00/hour.
