Tool Room Technician I - Off Shift

The Tool Room Technician I supports manufacturing operations by assisting with tool maintenance, repair, and basic fabrication. This role focuses on maintaining tool availability and accuracy to minimize production downtime.

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $24.00 - $26.00/hour. Base wages are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Please note Off Shift hours are 4:00 pm - 2:30 am CT.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repair, and calibration of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and measuring instruments.
• Assist with tool fabrication and modifications under supervision.
• Read and interpret basic technical drawings and blueprints.
• Maintain proper storage and organization of tooling and equipment.
• Track and record tool usage, repairs, and calibration activities.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and report tool issues.
• Support production teams by ensuring tools are available when needed.
• Adhere to OSHA, company safety standards, and 5S practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  
  

Professional Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in machining, toolmaking, or related manufacturing work.
• Basic knowledge of tool maintenance, fabrication, and repair.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
