Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Sleep Medicine & Pulmonary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing specialty practice on a part-time basis (2 days per week). This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative outpatient setting with a primary focus on sleep medicine and some pulmonary medicine.
Position Summary
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, evaluating and managing patients with sleep disorders while assisting in the care of pulmonary patients as needed. Experience in sleep medicine or pulmonary medicine is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with sleep disorders.
- Conduct follow-up visits and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Interpret diagnostic studies and monitor patient progress.
- Collaborate closely with the supervising physician and clinical staff.
- Provide patient education regarding sleep health, CPAP therapy, and treatment options.
- Assist with pulmonary patient evaluations and follow-up care as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the State of California.
- Active California furnishing number (for NPs, if applicable).
- Current DEA registration required.
- Current BLS certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.
- Experience in sleep medicine, pulmonary medicine, or internal medicine is a plus, but not required.
Schedule
- Part-time
- 2 days per week
- Outpatient clinic setting
- No nights or weekends
