Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide direct support in meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Help clients with mobility and lifting as needed, promoting independence while ensuring safety.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their well-being and social interaction.
- Implement behavior management strategies as necessary to support clients' emotional health.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the personal care or retirement home setting.
- Document daily activities and any changes in client condition to ensure proper care continuity.
- Light house cleaning
- Vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Doing dishes
- Changing bed linens
- Doing laundry
- Cleaning bathrooms
- Take out trash
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or senior care is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of personal care systems and practices related to direct support.
- Ability to lift and assist clients safely, adhering to proper techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and their families.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
