SUMMARY
Work in a Digital Department in all aspects of digital manufacturing operations, data input, printing, and in-line finishing operations. Set up and operate the digital presses consistently to meet customer expectations and attain productivity requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manufacturing:
● Manipulating text and graphics information for efficient use on imaging equipment.
● Knowledge of Xerox, Canon, and Versafire setup.
● Responsible for workflow, job scheduling, job accounting, and quality assurance on digital press production.
● Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving for digital press production. Contact Xerox/Canon/Versifier for maintenance repair calls.
● Train other personnel as needed.
● Participate as a Team member in the company's Continuous Improvement Process.
Product Development:
● Test new job possibilities, analyze paper specifications, and include written specifications of all digital press requirements.
● Develop quality checks on existing and new products to ensure a high level of image and achieve 0% defects.
Security:
● Area security to include development and adherence to guidelines and procedures, including hardware, software and materials.
● Storage of press supplies.
● Control direct phone line access.
● Controls to prohibit improper or non-authorized use of digital presses and supporting equipment.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is necessary. Three to six months related work experience or prior experience operating other printing-related equipment is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
