Job Title: Account Payable Specialist

General Description: AP Specialistis responsible for managing a company’s financial obligations to vendors, ensuring accurate and timely payments while maintaining detailed records. They verify invoices, process payments, and resolve any discrepancies to ensure financial compliance and maintain healthy vendor relationships.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Receiving, verifying, and entering invoices into the accounting system.
· Ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices to vendors.
· Reconciling accounts payable statements with vendor records to ensure accuracy.
· Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
· Responding to vendor inquiries and resolving payments, and other relevant documents.
· Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
· Ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Minimum 2 years of previous experience in accounts payables or related field.
· Knowledge of QuickBooks desktop and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Keen attention to detail.
· Exceptional Organizational skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education, Skills, and Abilities Required:
· High School Diploma or G.E.D. Required.
Physical requirements/ADA Essential Functions:
· Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
· Manual Dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment.
· Visual acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others.
· Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment.
· Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed.
Working Conditions:
· Minimal risk of exposure to unusual elements
· Minimal risk of safety precautions
· General office environment with the ability to walk through production plant when needed.
