Overview:
INTECON is seeking a Dive Instructor / Dive Equipment Maintainer that provides combat diving instruction and maintains dive equipment for the Special Tactics Training Squadron. This dual-function role is critical to SOF amphibious operations training, ensuring students receive expert instruction in combat diving techniques while maintaining all dive equipment to operational standards. The position requires extensive water-based training and the ability to operate in demanding maritime environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom and in-water instruction on combat diving techniques and procedures
- Perform maritime duties and open-water swimming to support amphibious operations training
- Conduct dive supervisor duties during training operations in accordance with USSOCOM standards
- Maintain, inspect, and repair dive equipment to ensure operational readiness
- Instruct students on underwater navigation, dive planning, and subsurface infiltration techniques
- Ensure safe diving operations and enforce dive safety protocols during all training evolutions
- Handle, demonstrate, and provide instruction on munitions, small arms, and night vision devices as required for amphibious operations training
- Evaluate student performance in dive qualifications and provide feedback in accordance with program standards
- Maintain dive equipment inventory and coordinate equipment logistics
- Participate in full mission profile events involving maritime insertion/extraction
Qualifications:
- Qualified as a Combat Diver/Dive Supervisor from an accredited USSOCOM school
- Active Secret security clearance
- Ability to read, understand, speak, and write English fluently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of computers including Internet, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and Windows
- Physical ability to perform rigorous maritime duties including extended open-water swimming and diving operations
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required base access credentials
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a dive instructor in military or SOF training environment
- Familiarity with STTS program of instruction curriculum
- Experience with closed-circuit and open-circuit dive systems maintenance
- Background in Special Operations maritime operations
- Dive equipment repair and maintenance certifications
- Experience with hyperbaric chamber operations and dive medicine protocols
