What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Technician – Internet, TV & AV Systems position at Intech Internet?
Job description:
INTECH delivers high-speed internet, DIRECTV, and smart network solutions to multi-dwelling communities and commercial clients across Las Vegas.
We’re known for reliable service, clean installations, and our ability to make technology actually work the way it should. If you take pride in doing solid work, solving problems, and leaving customers impressed — you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Do
As an INTECH Field Technician, you’ll bring internet, entertainment, and automation systems to life. Your days will include a mix of installs, troubleshooting, and customer interaction — no two jobs are the same.
Responsibilities:
· Install, pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling — including Cat5e, Cat6, coax, and fiber — to support internet, TV, and smart-home systems.
· Install, configure, and activate bulk internet and DIRECTV systems in MDU properties.
· Bring AV spaces to life by installing speakers, projectors, TVs, home theater systems, and smart components — from standard mounts to concealed cable runs and over-fireplace setups.
· Deploy and test WiFi networks (individual and building-wide) for signal strength and security.
· Provide field service: maintenance, upgrades, repairs of existing AV, internet, and TV systems. Respond onsite to malfunctioning units and ensure minimal downtime.
· Interface with property managers, building staff and residents: present a professional image, clearly communicate what work is being done, answer questions and leave them satisfied.
· Follow blueprints and scope-of-work documents to ensure all installations are precise, compliant, and meet project specifications.
· Document all work: using our online CRM to complete work orders, capture photos, verify system functionality, and sign off with the client/resident when possible.
· Provide “white glove” service: especially in high-end installations, ensure the space is clean, cables tucked, everything works before leaving.
· Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory, ensuring readiness and professionalism on every job site.
What We’re Looking For
· Experience with low-voltage wiring, networking, or AV installations.
· Ability to diagnose and resolve internet or AV performance issues quickly.
· Comfortable with ladders, tools, and physical installation work.
· Solid customer service and communication skills — professional on-site presence.
· Self-motivated and organized; able to manage jobs independently.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
· Bonus points if you have experience with DIRECTV, fiber networking, or MDU environments.
Why Work With INTECH
· Full-time, steady work (no seasonal layoffs)
· Opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-evolving tech field
· Supportive team that values craftsmanship and customer satisfaction
· Real potential to move up as INTECH continues expanding
Benefits:
· Health/Dental/Vision Insurance
· 401(k) with Company Match
· Paid training
· Paid time off
Pay:
· This is a salaried position, commensurate with experience.
