Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead and oversee complex construction projects as a General Contractor. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and estimating through execution and closeout. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Duties
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Oversee construction estimating processes utilizing HeavyBid or comparable tools to accurately forecast costs and prepare competitive bids.
- Manage project budgets by controlling costs, tracking expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to review construction plans, blueprints, and specifications ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Monitor construction site activities daily to ensure safety protocols are followed and regulatory compliance is maintained across all phases.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, or Construction Schedule Coordination tools to streamline communication and documentation.
- Lead project teams by managing subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff to meet project milestones efficiently.
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to local building codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare comprehensive progress reports, change orders, and project documentation for stakeholders’ review.
- Conduct regular site inspections to oversee quality control measures and resolve any issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or commercial construction projects as a Project Manager or similar role within a general contracting environment.
- Strong proficiency with project management software including Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, and other construction management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of construction estimating techniques and cost management strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, interpret construction plans, contracts, and specifications accurately.
- Extensive construction site experience with a solid understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously while managing time effectively.
- Effective leadership skills in managing teams in a fast-paced environment—motivating staff while fostering collaboration across disciplines.
- Strong communication skills for clear stakeholder engagement and reporting purposes.
- Knowledge of construction regulations applicable to commercial infrastructure projects is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred; relevant certifications such as PMP are advantageous.
