JOB TITLE: Residential Supervisor – Youth Home
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-Exempt
PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Office of Mental Health Residential – Youth Home
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of OMH Residential
POSITION SUMMARY: Support independent living and the integration of necessary skills for adolescents with mental health concerns by providing instruction, counseling and assistance within a residential setting. Assist the Program Director by supervising staff and performing assigned administrative duties.
Maintain knowledge of the needs, status and preferences of people served at the site; monitor their ongoing eligibility for services. Meet the needs, goals and preferences of youth based on requirements stated in their individualized service plans. Complete documentation accurately, timely and according to billing/regulatory requirements. Monitor employee performance, attendance, scheduling, training, discipline, and work assignments. Work with program management to appropriately schedule DSP staff based on programmatic needs and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Education, Training & Experience:
High school diploma
Five (5) years of acceptable experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health concerns.
Supervisory experience
Preferred Education, Training & Experience:
Associate’s degree in Human Services or related field
Three (3) years of experience
Or
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service or related field
One (1) year of experience
And
One (1) year of supervisory experience.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Valid Driver’s License that meets agency standards
Functional knowledge of basic computer applications (ex. Word, Excel, Email, ect.)
Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain Medication Administration Certification
Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain CPI Certification
Being a positive role model for the people we support and the staff you supervise.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Ability participate in a system of 24/7 on call coverage during off hours for the OMH Residential Homes.
SALARY:
$22.88 per hour starting rate
