JOB TITLE: Behavioral Health Professional
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-Exempt
PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Behavioral Health Services
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Behavioral Health Services Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY: Behavioral Health Professional assist adults with behavioral health concerns, living in the community, develop independent living skills and self-help skills by providing ongoing instruction/training, guidance, and modeling.
Qualifications
Minimum Education, Training & Experience:
Bachelors degree in human services or related field.
Two (2) years experience providing services to individuals with serious emotional disturbances: OR certified in an Evidence Based Practice.
Preferred Education, Training & Experience
Knowledge of community crisis resources and response services
Experience in collaboration within a community System of Care
Experience supporting individuals in education and employment
Essential Skills And Abilities
Valid New York State drivers license that meets the Agency's driving policy and dependable transportation
Functional knowledge of basic computer applications (i.e. word-processing, e-mail)
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as needed
Demonstrate patience, understanding, sensitivity and respect to children and families including regarding cultural/value/lifestyle differences
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and effective communication
Salary
$20.80 per hour starting rate
