Marketing Lead (B2C / eCommerce)
Location: Central Austin, TX
Schedule: Full-Time | 5 Days per Week In-Office
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Marketing Lead to take full ownership of a high-volume, consumer-facing marketing function with a strong eCommerce and retail focus.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for both strategy and execution across all marketing channels. The ideal candidate will have approximately 4 years of experience and come from a background in agency, boutique retail, gift/home goods, consumer products, or product-driven eCommerce environments.
This role is ideal for a marketer who is highly autonomous, execution-oriented, and comfortable serving as the primary owner of the marketing function in a fast-paced business.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Ownership
- Own and manage the marketing calendar, planning campaigns 30β90 days in advance
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across email, paid media, social, and web channels
- Serve as brand steward, ensuring consistency in messaging, tone, and visual identity
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging growth opportunities
Email, SMS & Paid Media
- Build and execute email and SMS campaigns in Klaviyo, including copywriting and creative development
- Manage lifecycle marketing automations, segmentation, list health, and deliverability
- Own paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
- Monitor and optimize key performance metrics including CPA, ROAS, CTR, and conversion rates
- Serve as the internal point person for external Google Ads agency management and performance oversight
Website, Content & SEO
- Own website content, product storytelling, and promotional messaging
- Write and optimize product descriptions, landing pages, and website copy
- Implement SEO best practices across metadata, keywords, content structure, and image optimization
- Maintain and evolve the company's content and blog strategy to drive organic growth
Content & Creative Direction
- Plan and coordinate multiple content and photography shoots annually
- Direct content creation for social media, email marketing, and digital campaigns
- Partner with internal teams and external resources to produce high-quality creative assets
- Improve creative production efficiency through tools, systems, and workflows
AI & Automation
- Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to support content creation, research, and analysis
- Build lightweight automation workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks
- Ensure brand standards and quality are maintained across AI-assisted content
Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain reporting across all marketing channels
- Execute ongoing A/B testing across messaging, creative, offers, and timing
- Translate performance data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Partner with leadership on demand planning, forecasting, and growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Approximately 4 years of marketing experience
- Experience in B2C, eCommerce, agency, consumer products, or boutique retail environments strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with Klaviyo (email and SMS marketing) preferred
- Proficiency with Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, and Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar creative tools
- Strong understanding of consumer marketing, product storytelling, and customer acquisition
- Comfortable operating as the sole marketing owner
- Analytical mindset with the ability to connect marketing activity to business outcomes
- Regular use of AI tools to improve productivity, quality, and output
