- Role: Quality Engineer 1
- Pay Rate: Up to $34 / hr (TBD)
- Location: 6625 Excellence Way, Plano, TX, USA (100% Fully Onsite)
- Duration: 12 Months
- Language: Bilingual English/Korean (Required)
- Failure Analysis & Equipment Operation: Experience with technical analysis and operating electronic/test equipment (such as X-Ray, CT, and Digital microscopes).
- Bilingual Communication (English/Korean): Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication for cross-functional and global team alignment.
- Technical Writing & Reporting: Proficiency in gathering data from multiple sources to prepare, review, and refine technical manuals, spreadsheets, and test procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Failure Analysis & Troubleshooting: Perform daily failure analysis of mobile devices related to product liability and safety claims using analytical equipment (X-Ray/CT machines, digital microscopes, and overheating test equipment).
- Technical Reporting: Prepare and critically review detailed technical reports, manuals, test procedures, and user guides based on reverse engineering findings to present to R&D and senior management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Repair Technician teams to deliver product condition specifications, improve next-generation repair productivity, and enhance product performance.
- Field & Lab Inspections: Conduct scene and laboratory inspections outside the office to investigate user environments causing defective symptoms.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects using structured principles, track required reports, and keep management apprised of all defect symptoms and functional trends.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience with the selection, maintenance, and application of electronic and test equipment preferred. Prior experience in the mobile industry is highly preferred.
- Technical Tools: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) operating in a Windows environment, and hands-on experience with electronics testing technologies (X-Ray, CT, SEM, EDS).
- Complex Problem Solving: Ability to solve complex problems involving highly diverse conditions by applying creativity, functional practices, and sound judgment.
- Data Synthesis & Visualization: Strong ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, transforming them into structured spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and tables.
- Stakeholder Influence: Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships across multiple levels of the company and external contacts (customers, authorized service agents, etc.), with the ability to influence others during technical clarifications.
- Physical & Environmental Adaptability: High level of visual acuity and hand/finger dexterity for electronic component analysis; willingness to work additional hours or travel as required, and strictly adhere to confidentiality and ethical policies.
