About the Position
We are a well-established Central Florida security integration company seeking an experienced Commercial Gate Automation Technician to join our growing team.
Our technicians work on some of the region's most advanced gated communities, commercial properties, apartment communities, industrial facilities, and private developments. Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial gate operators and automated gate systems.
- Install and service swing gates, slide gates, barrier arms, and pedestrian gate operators.
- Troubleshoot and repair gate motors, control boards, power supplies, relays, transformers, and safety devices.
- Install and service gate entry kiosks, telephone entry systems, visitor management systems, and virtual guard solutions.
- Configure and troubleshoot vehicle detection loops, loop detectors, photo eyes, edge sensors, and all UL325 safety equipment.
- Service card readers, vehicle tag readers, RFID systems, Bluetooth credentials, keypads, remote transmitters, and license plate recognition (LPR) systems.
- Diagnose electrical, low-voltage, and networking issues affecting gate operation.
- Install conduit, wiring, junction boxes, and low-voltage cabling as required.
- Read wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and installation drawings.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential failures before they become service calls.
- Complete accurate service documentation and communicate findings to customers and management.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service.
Preferred Experience
Minimum 5 years of commercial gate automation experience.
Experience with one or more of the following manufacturers is highly desirable:
- LiftMaster
- DoorKing
- HySecurity
- Nice
- FAAC
- Viking Access
- Linear
- Elite
- MAX Controls
- Doorking telephone entry systems
- Cell-based gate communication systems
Experience with any of the following is also a plus:
- Brivo
- ICT

- Eagle Eye Networks
- License Plate Recognition (LPR)
- CCTV
- Access Control
- Structured Cabling
- Fiber Optics
- Networking
Qualifications
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of commercial gate operator installation and repair
- Familiarity with UL325 safety requirements
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather
- Ability to use ladders, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
