Engineering Administrator

Starting rate: $28.00- $32.00/hr, paid weekly

Hours: 8:00am- 4:00pm, M-F

Location: Orange, CT

Duration: 3 months with long-term opportunity!

Job Summary:

Create, update, and maintain product component data (BOMs) and manufacturing process data (Routings) in the QAD ERP system.

• Ensure accuracy of product and process information to reduce errors, delays, and costs.
• Collaborate with engineering, accounting, customer service, procurement, and production teams.
• Support planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, and tooling for new and existing products.
• Apply technical understanding of materials and processes to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Assist with document control, project coordination, and process improvement under moderate supervision.
• Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain ERP/MRP data (experience with systems like SAP or QAD required).
• Create and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routing sequences.
• Define components, materials, and process steps for product manufacturing.
• Maintain item master data (lead times, MOQs, specifications, etc.).
• Process engineering changes (ECNs/PCNs) and update related data.
• Ensure data accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and maintain data integrity.
• Maintain documentation, databases, and change logs through ERP systems and Monday.com.
• Support process improvements and cross-functional collaboration
• Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Manufacturing-related field (preferred).
• Experience in engineering administration within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical judgment, project management, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Prior experience with ERP systems (highly preferred).
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
