Manager, Product Management – Costing & Inventory
Insure Technology is leading a search on behalf of a large, complex enterprise organization undergoing a meaningful shift from a project-based model to a true product and value-driven environment.
This is a high-impact leadership role within the Costing domain, where the work directly influences financial accuracy, operational performance, and business decision-making at scale.
Location: Atlanta, GA (5 days onsite)
Type: Direct Hire
The Manager of Product Management sits at the center of critical financial and operational systems, owning product strategy and execution across:
- Product costing
- Inventory movements
- Inventory valuation
You’ll lead a team responsible for ensuring these capabilities are stable, accurate, and continuously improving while driving measurable business value through thoughtful prioritization and execution.
This is not a roadmap theater role. It requires strong product judgment, operational rigor, and the ability to make clear trade-offs grounded in customer value and business impact.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a team of product managers in a high-accountability environment
- Own and prioritize the product backlog across enhancements, performance improvements, and initiative-driven work
- Ensure production systems are functioning accurately and reliably
- Identify and resolve performance issues and gaps in existing functionality
- Partner closely with finance, accounting, engineering, and business stakeholders
- Build business cases to support product investments and recommendations
- Drive a metrics-based approach to prioritization (OKRs, value delivery, measurable outcomes)
- Navigate a highly matrixed organization and align diverse stakeholders
Top Priorities (First 6 Months)
- Stabilize and take full ownership of product costing and inventory valuation functionality
- Ensure production systems are accurate, reliable, and well understood across stakeholders
- Deliver meaningful backlog enhancements tied to business initiatives and operational needs
What We’re Looking For
- Strong foundation in product management (customer value, prioritization, trade-offs)
- Experience leading and developing product teams
- Proven ability to build and communicate business cases tied to measurable impact
- Finance/accounting domain knowledge is required
- Experience with product costing and/or inventory valuation strongly preferred
- Comfortable operating in complex, enterprise environments
- Able to influence without authority and work across a matrixed organization
