This full-time hybrid role, based in Rock Hill, SC, with opportunities for remote work, is focused on overseeing the Fortified Roof program to drive implementation, improvements, and industry alignment. The Director of Fortified Roof will manage program development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and engage various stakeholders to elevate construction standards. Key responsibilities also include promoting building resilience through education, tracking program effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with IBHS guidelines. The position will require leadership, strategic planning, industry advocacy, and ongoing performance monitoring.
- Program Management and Leadership skills with a track record of managing initiatives and cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of Construction Standards and best practices, especially related to roofing and building resilience
- Experience in Stakeholder Engagement and relationship management with industry leaders, agencies, and partners
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills for preparing reports, presentations, and conducting educational outreach
- Problem-Solving and Strategic Planning abilities to ensure program success and adapt to challenges
- Background in Sustainability or Resilience is an asset
- Experience in developing and delivering education programs or certifications is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field; Advanced degree preferred
