Position Overview
The Lean Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for leading and designing Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. This role will manage all activities for continuous improvement and performance enhancement by using Lean methodologies and tools to accomplish business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and controls standard work for all departments
- Deliver manufacturing enhancements that result in cost reductions, OEE improvements, operational diligence, and increased in capacity
- Leads Kaizen events and drives continuous improvement activities
- Conduct value stream mapping to enhance the flow of materials and information
- Manage projects and problem solving with lean six sigma tools such as (but not limited to) DMAIC, Kaizen, PDCA, and 5S/6S
- Daily, Weekly, and Monthly report out of all continuous improvement efforts
- Recommend enhancements for layout, safety, and equipment upgrades
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Mentor/Coach employees with the result in an increase the number of those Green Belt certified
- Plans and budgets all continuous improvement efforts without disrupting the plant’s goals
- Must be knowledgeable and stay current on multiple department’s processes
- Collaborates with department heads to understand needs and opportunities
- Flexing work schedule to support the off shifts
- Performs other duties as required
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Level of Degree in the Engineering or related technical discipline field of study
- 3 years of demonstrated experience in a project management working in a technical discipline,
- Knowledgeable of the US and International Medical Device and Drug Delivery Regulations
- Knowledgeable of product development lifecycle, including software and or disposable development
- Proficiency in project management, planning and organizing.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
- Ability to foster teamwork to work cooperatively and effectively with team members
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to function in a fast-paced, growth industry and work environment
- Working knowledge of: MS Office products, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Proficient with Medical Device regulations (ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, 21 CFR part 820.30-Design Controls).

- Strong ability to set goals and timelines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Proficient in SolidWorks
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
- Willing/Able to stand and walk up to 75% of the day
- Flexible with work schedule as working off shifts is necessary
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed
