Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Prescribe and manage medications for patients
- Provide counseling and therapy to individuals, families, and groups
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Qualifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with specialization in psychiatric-mental health
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field
- Previous experience working as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, treatments, and medications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic)
- Familiarity with aseptic technique, infection control, and medication administration protocols
