Position Summary
IPS Shelters is looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Handler to support daily production operations at our Denton facility. This role will be responsible for receiving materials, organizing the warehouse and production areas, moving and staging materials safely, and supporting subcontractors and production crews as needed.
This is a practical, boots-on-the-ground role for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, organized, and comfortable working in an active manufacturing and warehouse environment. This position does not require forklift or equipment operation.
Key Responsibilities
Material Handling
Receive, unload, move, stage, and organize materials, tools, and supplies for shelter production.
Production Support
Stage materials for subcontractors and production crews; help keep each work area supplied and organized.
Shipping & Receiving
Assist with inbound deliveries, inspect shipments, check quantities, note damages or shortages, and communicate issues.
Inventory Support
Help track material locations, maintain organized storage areas, and support basic inventory counts.
Facility Organization
Keep warehouse, yard, work cells, aisles, and staging areas clean, safe, and orderly.
Safety
Follow all IPS safety procedures, wear required PPE, and help maintain a safe work environment.
General Support
Assist with basic hands-on tasks as needed, including moving tools, preparing work areas, cleanup, and supporting day-to-day plant needs.
Qualifications
Required
Preferred
- Prior warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or material handling experience
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely
- Comfortable working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow directions and work safely around active production areas
- Experience with steel, panels, construction materials, or industrial materials
- Basic inventory or shipping/receiving experience
- Ability to read packing slips, bills of lading, and basic material lists
- Experience supporting production crews or subcontractors
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull throughout the workday. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed and work safely around trucks, forklifts operated by qualified personnel, construction materials, and active production areas.
Work Environment
This role is performed in an active plant and manufacturing environment. The employee will regularly work around production crews, subcontractors, material deliveries, steel, panels, tools, and other industrial materials. PPE and safe work practices are required at all times.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
