DIRECT REPORTS: None LOCATION: Mukwonago, WI
POSITION SUMMARY:
IDC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Intern to support our Quality team in a precision manufacturing environment. This internship provides hands-on experience with quality systems, inspection processes, documentation control, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, organized, and interested in quality, engineering, or manufacturing operations.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBITIES:
- Assist with inspection and verification of parts and assemblies per drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Support document control activities, including updating, organizing, and maintaining quality records and procedures
- Help prepare and review quality documentation such as inspection reports, nonconformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions
- Participate in internal audits, process reviews, and continuous improvement projects
- Collect and analyze basic quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Support Quality Engineers and Inspectors with day-to-day quality tasks and projects
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field Minimum: hands-on experience working with a variety of CNC Machines
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed coursework in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field
- High school seniors or technical college students with an interest in manufacturing quality are encouraged to apply
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality concepts preferred
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions and learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
