Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Mattress & Furniture Sales Consultant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in selling mattresses and furniture, possess strong product knowledge, and excel in delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves guiding customers through the selection process, managing sales transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience from greeting to checkout. Bilingual Spanish speakers are preferred to better serve our diverse customer base.
Duties
- Assist customers in selecting mattresses, bedroom furniture, and other home furnishings by providing detailed product information and recommendations.
- Engage with customers through friendly and professional interactions, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
- Conduct retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments and handling returns or exchanges as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of store products to confidently answer questions and address customer inquiries.
- Guide customers through the entire sales process, from initial greeting to final checkout, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Support visual merchandising efforts to create appealing displays that highlight product features.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a welcoming store environment.
- Uphold store policies and procedures related to safety, cleanliness, and customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, preferably within furniture or mattress stores.
- Strong knowledge of retail product features, benefits, and specifications related to mattresses and home furnishings.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse customers.
- Ability to handle retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred to assist a broader range of customers effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
