What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Institutional Casework, Inc.?
Primary responsibilities will include procurement functions directly associated with the Company's manufacturing needs for indirect materials, fixed assets, tooling, raw materials, and services. These products and services are to be secured at efficient cost, quality, and delivery at competitive levels consistent with Company policy and performance standards. The position is further responsible for the timely planning, scheduling of receipt and inventory control of the products and services. Maintain raw material inventory at efficient economic levels.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in purchasing, with emphasis in business administration, economics, and/or engineering with two (2) years of progressively responsible purchasing and materials control experience in a manufacturing environment.
Personal computer skills, mainframe operations as relates to procurement and related software. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and AS400. Knowledge of purchasing/accounting processes required for a buying position. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
