Reporting to the Center Manager the Rehabilitation Aide performs routine therapeutic activities such as gait maintenance and exercise programs; baseline modalities; assisting with the daily scheduling of department treatments; maintenance of department environment; and documentation.
Key duties and responsibilities of the position include, but may not necessarily be limited to:
Range: $22 - 25/Hourly

Key duties and responsibilities of the position include, but may not necessarily be limited to:
- Performing basic range of motion; routine therapeutic activities and exercise as outlined by therapist(s)
- Providing functional transfer training; assisting with activity of daily living tasks
- Conducting specialized exercise groups
- Maintaining physical therapy ambulation programs
- Providing modalities as outlined by treatment plan
- Completing daily documentation: flow sheets; computer documentation; preparation of new participant treatment flow sheets and ongoing monthly flow sheets
- Preparing daily treatment schedule board
- Monitoring client’s equipment and report need for minor repair and/or equipment ordering
- Attending department meetings and completing all routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including laundry, clinic equipment, inventory supplies and rehab supplies
- Actively participating in, and encouraging actions that promote good public relations with participants, their families, friends and visitors
- Performing all other reasonably related jobs as assigned
- High school diploma or GED Equivalence
- 1 year of experience working with a geriatric population
- Ability to speak English clearly and comprehend complex materials
- Knowledge of body mechanics, basic anatomy, physiology and basic medical terminology
- Interest in geriatric rehabilitation and previous geriatric rehabilitation experience
- Ability to work and interact in an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to follow directions without constant supervision
- Strong time management and computer literacy skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push, pull, or maneuver up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to reach, bend and walk
- Five finger dexterities
