What are the responsibilities and job description for the Citywide Clinical Trainer position at Institute on Aging?

The primary responsibility of the Citywide Clinical Trainer is to provide clinical supervision, documentation review and consultation to DAAS funded case management staff in community-based organizations across San Francisco. The Citywide Clinical Trainer will develop and assist with team collaborations to support the clinical supervision, chart review, training and evaluation of DAAS funded case management and other DAAS funded paraprofessional staff. Key duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Understanding and recommending staff methods of achieving compliance with all regulatory requirements. Maintaining and assisting with program records and reports. Be available for risk management and case consultation by phone. Assisting the clinical team with assessing educational needs and developing an education and training plan of staff. Meet with Clinical Director weekly to provide updates Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships and cooperative arrangements with program consumers, community providers and program stakeholders. Remaining current on changes with San Francisco community aging services, Medi-Cal and Medicare regulations that will impact the practice and direction of the program. Organizing, conducting and co-facilitating regularly scheduled group and individual supervision meetings. Participating in the planning, developing and evaluating the annual goals and objectives relevant to the needs of the program policies and procedures in collaboration with the Program Director and Associate Director. Completing annual organizational and program compliance trainings as required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a master’s degree in a comparable or related social services discipline (i.e. Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Clinical Counseling). Demonstrate proficiency in clinical supervision and clinical skills, as to aid professional growth and development and improve clinical outcomes. 1 year of supervisory experience in a healthcare or community-based setting. Demonstrated understanding of community-based resources and long-term care support services. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop and manage multiple and diverse professional relationships (i.e., with supervisees, program stakeholders and funders). Clinical expertise in trauma informed services, harm reduction and motivational interviewing. Proficient computer literacy skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS LCSW, LPCC or LMFT licensure. Broad understanding of community-based health, social services and pertinent policy. Ability to identify and develop new funding streams and partners. 2 years of experience working with disabled and/or elderly adults. 1 year of supervisory experience in a healthcare or community-based setting. 1 year of experience in training facilitation and curriculum development Bilingual language skills.
