Position Description:
The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies, a private, non-profit corporation located in Gulfport, Mississippi, is seeking to fill the position of a full-time Bookkeeping/Administrative Assistant.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality of all matters
- General Bookkeeping
- Bank Account and Credit Card reconciliation
- Scanning, filing, and data input
- Processing of Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Other Administrative Assistant/Secretarial tasks as assigned by management
- Answer phone calls
- Handle cash, POS system, and end of day reconciliations and reports
- Assisting guest and employees in day to day operations of the park
Qualifications and Skills
- Requires understanding of QuickBooks Pro Accounting software
- 1-2 years of bookkeeping experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and secretarial skills also required
- High School Degree at minimum required, Associates Degree or Technical Certification(s) preferred but not required
- Must be able to work well individually and as a team.
Position Hours and Location:
- Full-Time Position (40 hour/week--no overtime required)
- Monday through Friday with rotating weekends 8:30am-4:30 pm
