What are the responsibilities and job description for the Winter Fundraising Intern position at Institute for Justice?
Interns are compensated at $15/hour and scheduling is flexible although we do require availability of around 20-28 hours/week. This internship also requires a commitment to working at IJ’s headquarters office in Arlington, VA from mid-November through mid-February. An extension of the internship work period into the spring semester is available for the right candidate.
Interns not only get an inside look at how a nonprofit manages a $40 million fundraising operation, as well as gain valuable experience in a fun, fast-paced office environment that fights to protect Americans’ civil liberties every single day.
To apply, please submit a resume and a short cover letter on why you are interested in working at IJ. Please also include your availability for the holiday season and how you heard about the position in your cover letter.
IJ is an equal opportunity employer.
Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At IJ we value a diverse workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
