Position Description
The Creative Learning Specialist (CLS) for the eDevelopment team in the Center for Law Enforcement Safety and Wellness (CLESW) has experience in developing and delivering digital and printable training products and resources. This position requires creativity and knowledge and experience in program subject matter and digital and print product development. The CLS supports the activities of the Preventing Violence Against Law Enforcement and Ensuring Officer Resilience and Survivability Program, the National Suicide Awareness for Law Enforcement Officers Program, the National Law Enforcement Roadway Safety Program, and the CorWellness Program; the LESW group; and the eDevelopment team to achieve successful completion of grant deliverables and meet leadership expectations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members, managers, and subject-matter experts to develop creative eLearning products, digital content, and publications
- Assist in developing content for webinars
- Produce and edit podcasts with specialized audio programs
- Prepare outlines, scripts, and storyboards for microlearnings, PowerPoints, in-person and studio videos, and illustrated/motion graphic videos
- Develop, review, and prepare blogs, articles, job aids, white papers, and other publications
- Develop content and data for infographics, posters, and other printables
- Support development of virtual training content and delivery, as requested
- Serve as a liaison with the multimedia team, the program support team, the instructional design team, partners, and vendors to produce printed and digital products
- Research identified topics to pinpoint issues and gather data, lessons learned, promising practices, and recommended solutions in support of product development
- Assist with project management, documentation, and reporting for projects
- Assist with the development of eLearning modules and complex video projects
- Maintain professional and appropriate interpersonal communications with clients of the Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR) and program participants
- Collaborate with team members to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in workflow process and problem solve to improve business operations
- Other duties, as assigned
Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of four years of directly related experience or a combination of education and professional experience
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system, law enforcement background, and/or experience preferred
