SUMMARY: Under the direction of the STEP Day Program Director, the Supervisor supervises the implementation of day services for adults with developmental disabilities in community and employment settings. The Supervisor directly supervises all Employment Specialists, Senior Employment Specialists and Professional Employment Specialists. Areas of particular responsibility include arranging staff and participant daily schedules, facilitating natural supports, devising data-based, teaching strategies and functional community integrated curriculum, employer relations and writing participants' Individual Service Plans. The Supervisor treats participants and staff in accordance with Service Description, Institute Personnel Policies, ethical practices and legal mandates, and ensures that persons served present as normal a profile to the community as possible. The Supervisor sets an example for staff by maintaining a consistent positive attitude which is imperative to the success of the service.

Duties And Responsibilities
Staff Training & Supervision
- Trains employees by ensuring completion of New Orientation Training within required timelines, presenting in-services to the team at least quarterly, and providing additional direction and support to employees as needed
- Monitors and evaluates employee performance on a consistent basis, including conducting at least annual performance evaluations for all employees
- Implements corrective and progressive disciplinary actions in accordance with IABA disciplinary procedures to ensure policy compliance and quality service delivery
- Completes management trainings as assigned
- Ensures supported employment and community sites are managed in alignment with STEP’s mission and philosophical guidelines
- Coordinates services to support participants’ employment, community integration, and skill development
- Maintains collaborative relationships with supported employment sites, community partners, parents/caregivers, and other stakeholders
- Conducts presentations and tours of services for parents, agencies, community groups, and other interested parties
- Participates in Regional Center vendor meetings and events to promote inter-agency collaboration
- Promotes cooperation and communication between IABA departments and participates on IABA committees as assigned
- Ensures pocket schedules are posted promptly and verifies that all logs and service codes accurately reflect services delivered
- Audits payroll and billing data for accuracy on a semi-monthly basis per the Dayforce payroll schedule
- Maintains required statistics and records, including employee and participant lists, consumer records, and forms
- Maintains employee personnel files and submits documentation to the Human Resources department as required
- Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Examples include: Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
