About the Role
The ATDM Admissions Advisor is responsible for connecting with potential students for the ATDM program and helping them navigate the admission process. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as work effectively in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will understand, support, and promote the ATDM mission and vision and will demonstrate those beliefs when working with potential students.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the student admissions process.
• Conduct daily virtual interviews with prospective students.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Conduct outreach to prospective students via phone calls, text messages, and emails to guide them through the application and admissions process.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of ATDM admissions processes, program expectations, and timelines.
• Provide regular status updates to the ATDM Assistant Director of Recruitment.
• Assist the ATDM Assistant Director of Recruitment in the development of objectives, goals, and activities for the team.
• Work in collaboration with the ATDM Assistant Director of Recruitment to ensure timely and accurate submittal of reports.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay informed about ATDM program updates and industry best practices
• Ensure compliance with all program guidelines, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain the highest standards of professionalism in communication with students, staff, Navy personnel, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrate integrity, initiative, accountability, and a strong desire to develop expertise in the admissions process.
Work Location
We are looking for staff to work onsite in Danville, VA.
The Ideal Candidate
• Associate’s degree in Human Relations, Education, Business, or a related field, plus a minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience; or
• Human Resources professional designation and five (5) years of related experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in managing projects from inception to implementation required.
• A background in workforce development, including a thorough knowledge of best practices, is preferred.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Essential Physical Requirements:
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage interruptions, and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers and keyboards.
• Ability to travel between buildings and occasional off-site travel as needed.
• Light physical activity may be required.
Salary & Benefits
IALR will offer a salary of $56,000- $62,000 plus applicable shift differential.
