We are seeking an innovative ML Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. Our goal is to create economic opportunity for businesses and local professionals globally. Who You Are: BS or MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field 0-2 years of experience in quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, or deploying ML solutions to production Understanding of statistical techniques, including regression, hypothesis testing, and distributions Familiarity with machine learning algorithms, including decision trees, clustering, and neural networks. Exposure to LLMs and generative AI (e.g., prompt engineering, RAG) is a plus Proficient in Python and SQL, with some experience in ML libraries such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow Familiarity with data modeling, modern data/ML infrastructure concepts (e.g., Airflow, MLFlow, feature stores) is a plus Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally What You'll Do: Assist in building/integrating new machine learning models into production and monitoring their performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and support machine learning platform strategies Contribute to technical approach and problem analysis documents Work closely with Product to understand and support our roadmap Help build/maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor the performance of our products Learn from and be mentored by senior team members Contribute to our ML platform architecture and strategy Support efforts to create a data-driven culture across the company For CA based applicants: The base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $185,000, dependent on experience This position is eligible for equity in the form of stock options This position is eligible for Instawork benefits, including: A variety of medical, dental, and vision plans with coverage beginning on the date of hire Flexible paid time off At least 8 paid company holidays annually Phone stipend Commuter stipend Supplemental pay on qualified leaves Employee health savings accounts (HSA) contribution Flexible spending plans 401K plan Perkspot - discount program through Lumity A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location.
