Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including psychopharmacology interventions tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records.
- Perform patient education on medication administration, lifestyle modifications, and coping strategies to assist in managing mental health conditions.
Experience
- Experience working with behavioral health populations in settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or inpatient units.
- Demonstrated proficiency in psychiatric medication management including psychopharmacology principles and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for seamless documentation and patient tracking.
