WY - Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

POSITION SUMMARY Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests/ultrasound studies inclusive of positioning patient, calibration of equipment, and documentation of findings. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS ® Performs general ultrasound. ® Assists radiologist with ultrasound procedures. ® Provides verbal reports to radiologist and other providers. ® Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION ® Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program or equivalent required. EXPERIENCE ® One (1) year hospital experience preferred. ® Registered ARRT(R) preferred. ® Experienced in non-invasive vascular and echocardiography exams preferred. CREDENTIALS ® Must be ARDMS registered or obtain within one year of hire. ® Will cross-train in Echo/Stress Echo. ® Will cross-train in non-invasive vascular exams. ® Must be BLS certified within 60 days of hire and must maintain certification throughout employment with IMH.
