Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager (TMS & Web Infrastructure Implementation)
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid - 2 days/week in office as requested)
Duration: 3 Months with possible extentions
Rate: $70-75/hr all-inclusive
Candidates must reside in Pennsylvania—no relocation.
Role Overview:
Lead high-priority IT projects as Senior Project Manager, driving full lifecycle implementation and enhancements for critical systems like a Training Management System (TMS) replacement and web infrastructure product. Accountable for on-time, on-budget delivery using PMI's 5 phases. Collaborate with IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct full project lifecycle: planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-go-live support for 8-12 month initiatives.
Develop detailed Project Management Plans, estimates, schedules, and RAID logs; secure approvals from stakeholders.
Track progress, budget, risks, and issues; deliver weekly status reports via PM tools.
Facilitate cross-team coordination (app dev, data, security, networking) and vendor discussions to meet business/technical needs.
Create Communication Plans, Deliverables Matrices, and training sessions; mentor junior PMs.
Ensure PMO compliance; conduct peer reviews, testing coordination, and final evaluations.
Proactively mitigate risks, manage changes, and report metrics to senior leadership.
Required Skills & Experience:
10 years managing complex technical projects with large teams across IT areas.
PMP certification (PMI preferred) for 5 years.
High business and technical knowledge in government IT environments.
Highly Desired:
4-year college degree or equivalent technical study.
Experience implementing SaaS solutions.
Familiarity with state agency IT operations.
Salary : $70 - $75
