Enterprise Network Architect - Local Virginia

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Network Architect to join the Information Technology team focused on strategic network planning, design, and implementation. The ideal candidate will ensure network solutions are secure, efficient, and aligned with the long-term vision of the organization.

This role requires expertise in designing and deploying advanced network architectures, including LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and cloud-centric networks across multi-tenant and multi-region environments. The candidate will also be responsible for documenting network designs, monitoring performance, resolving issues, and defining standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive network designs integrating multiple technologies to support business operations.
• Design cloud-centric networks for multi-tenant, multi-region deployments across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
• Ensure network security compliance and performance optimization.
• Document the entire network implementation and provide detailed design documentation.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot latency or security issues.
• Collaborate with IT teams and third-party vendors to fulfill network requirements.
• Research and evaluate emerging network technologies for possible adoption.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to extended teams.
• Align network architecture strategy with business goals and IT roadmaps.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 10 years in network architecture and design with a focus on large-scale networks.
• Proven experience designing, building, and managing multi-tier networks.
• Strong understanding of network security frameworks, firewalls, and compliance standards.
• Expertise in network simulation, modeling tools, and design documentation (e.g., Visio).
• Hands-on experience with cloud network solutions, including Azure cloud architecture.
• Knowledge of IoT infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
• Ability to manage complex projects and work across multiple specialized networking domains.
