Receiving Associate

Position Summary

The Receiving Associate is responsible for ensuring all inbound client inventory is received, inspected, and processed accurately while maintaining the high service standards of Instant Fulfillment. This position plays a critical role in the fulfillment process by verifying incoming shipments, scanning inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS), organizing products for storage, and preparing inventory for downstream operations such as quality control, prep, and fulfillment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Receive inbound parcel, LTL, and FTL shipments from carriers.
• Safely unload, inspect, and verify all incoming inventory against packing slips and client documentation.
• Accurately scan all inbound inventory using barcode scanners and the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Identify and report shortages, overages, damaged products, or shipment discrepancies to management immediately.
• Organize client inventory into designated warehouse locations while maintaining accurate inventory control.
• Label, palletize, and stage inventory according to Instant Fulfillment operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area that promotes operational efficiency.
• Work closely with the Inventory, Prep, and Fulfillment teams to ensure inventory is processed promptly.
• Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist with warehouse organization, inventory audits, and other operational tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.

• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn and effectively use Instant Fulfillment’s Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Experience using handheld barcode scanners is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.

Success in This Role

A successful Receiving Associate consistently receives and processes inventory accurately, maintains organized warehouse storage, communicates inventory discrepancies promptly, and helps ensure every client’s inventory is available for fulfillment as quickly and accurately as possible. This role directly impacts customer satisfaction by maintaining the integrity and accuracy of every shipment received by Instant Fulfillment.

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
