Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver/Mover to join our team. This role involves transporting, loading, and unloading items efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial driving and moving. Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to transport goods and furniture to designated locations
- Load and unload items
- Ensure all items are secured properly during transit to prevent damage
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with their moving or delivery needs
- Follow route driving plans efficiently while adhering to safety regulations and traffic laws
- Assist with warehouse organization, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness of the work area
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely, including moving large or bulky items
- Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries and pickups
Experience
- Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services is preferred
- Warehouse experience is a plus, especially involving loading/unloading operations
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols is essential
- Experience operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual transmission vehicles is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during moving operations
This role requires a dedicated individual capable of managing physical tasks while delivering exceptional service. Candidates should possess a valid driver’s license suitable for driver roles, along with experience in route driving and load management.
