Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer / ETL Developer responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of data integration solutions. This role focuses on building scalable ETL pipelines, optimizing data workflows, and ensuring high-quality data delivery across systems.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in ETL tools (SSIS, ADF, or similar), along with hands-on development in C#/.NET. This individual will also serve as a technical leader, contributing to architecture, mentoring team members, and driving best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support ETL/data integration solutions
- Build and manage data pipelines using SQL Server, SSIS, ADF, Snowflake, or similar technologies
- Develop integration components using C#, .NET, and/or Python to enhance system performance
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify and improve data processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve data integration and testing issues
- Contribute to shared libraries, reusable components, and development best practices
- Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to architectural standards
- Support and enhance SaaS, third-party, and in-house applications
- Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and code
- Participate in on-call rotation and production support activities
Agile & Delivery
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Contribute to backlog refinement and ensure work is properly scoped and estimated
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, incremental releases
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in ETL/data integration development
- 5 years of experience with SQL
- Hands-on experience with SSIS, ADF, or other ETL tools
- Strong development experience with C#/.NET (console applications required)
- Experience building and optimizing data pipelines and workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to own and drive complex technical initiatives end-to-end
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure API Management
- Experience working in Azure environments
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Git
- Experience with data exchange formats (JSON, XML, EDI)
- Experience in Agile environments within matrixed organizations
- Prior experience mentoring or leading technical teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
