SAP Transformation Risk Manager

We are seeking an experienced SAP Transformation Risk Manager with deep expertise in SAP business processes, application controls, ERP implementations, and risk management.

This individual will support complex SAP transformation and implementation initiatives, helping organizations design, assess, test, and improve application controls, security, governance, and risk management processes.

The ideal candidate combines strong SAP technical and functional knowledge with an audit and controls background and can operate effectively with senior client stakeholders while leading multidisciplinary teams.

• Provide subject matter expertise in the design and testing of SAP automated application controls.

• Identify optimal SAP functional configuration options to improve control automation.

• Lead testing of SAP application control design and operating effectiveness, including validation of test scripts and review of results.

• Serve as an SAP application controls SME for financial, SOX, regulatory, and other external audits.

• Assess application control design for new SAP implementations.

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and controls through stakeholder interviews and review of process documentation, narratives, and data flows.

• Research SAP configuration settings and recommend solutions to address control and risk requirements.

• Support SAP transformation initiatives across process modeling, controls, governance, testing, and data migration.

• Support SAP Segregation of Duties (SoD) and Sensitive Access ruleset assessments.

• Clearly communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to client stakeholders.

• Scope, plan, and lead engagements while managing budgets, timelines, and project delivery.

• Manage multiple client engagements and maintain appropriate project financial and risk management.

• Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams.

• Support business development efforts by leveraging SAP, risk, controls, and business process expertise.

• Stay current on SAP, ERP, audit, and risk management trends and leading practices.

• 5 years of SAP experience.

• Deep understanding of business processes and controls within SAP environments.

• ERP implementation experience; functional SAP experience strongly preferred.

• 5 years of experience in audit, internal audit, risk management, or internal controls.

• Working knowledge of SAP security and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC).

• Experience with application controls and control design/testing.

• Familiarity with SOX, ICFR, data privacy, FDA, and/or other relevant audit and regulatory standards.

• Strong executive presence with the ability to engage senior client leadership.

• Demonstrated experience managing projects, budgets, and delivery.

• Strong people leadership skills, including mentoring, feedback, and workload management.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.

• Ability to travel as needed.

• IT General Controls (ITGC) experience.

• Prior consulting experience.

• Additional ERP security and controls experience outside of SAP.

• Broad industry experience or deep expertise within a specific industry.

• CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, or similar professional certification.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who can operate strategically while still driving execution. This person should be comfortable working in complex SAP transformation environments, managing competing priorities, and partnering directly with senior stakeholders.
