Power BI / Power Apps Engineer
Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Power BI / Power Apps Engineer to join our team in Deerfield Beach, FL. This role is focused on building and deploying data visualization and low-code applications that directly improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a proactive "builder " who loves working in Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate to turn business requirements into functional, high-performing, and user-friendly solutions.
Note: This is a build-focused implementation role, not an architect-level position.
Key Responsibilities
- Power BI Development (Must Have): Design, develop, and maintain complex Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to drive business insights.
- Data Modeling & Transformation: Utilize DAX and Power Query (M) for data shaping, cleaning, and transformation.
- Power Apps & Automate: Build Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps to automate workflows and enhance operational processes using Power Automate.
- Solution Building: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and build solutions that connect to various data sources (SharePoint, SQL, Dataverse).
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Maintain, debug, and optimize existing Power BI reports and Power Apps to ensure high performance and data accuracy.
- Documentation & Training: Create technical documentation and train end-users on new applications and reports.
- Strong Power BI: 3-5 years of experience designing and developing complex Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Advanced Power Platform: Proficiency in Power Apps (Canvas/Model-Driven) and Power Automate (Workflows/Flows).
- Data Tools: Solid experience with DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.
- Builder Mentality: Proven ability to build, test, and deploy applications; you are a practitioner, not just a planner.
- Hybrid Flexibility: Ability to work from our Deerfield Beach office 3 days a week (Priority given to local/hybrid candidates).
- Experience with SharePoint Online and Dataverse.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or Git for source control.
- Microsoft Certification in Power Platform or Data Analysis.
