Hiring: Accountant
Annapolis, MD | Onsite | FullTime
A wellestablished, North America based labor organization is seeking a detailoriented Accountant to support the daytoday financial operations of its Accounting Department. This is a fulltime, onsite role that works closely with senior finance leadership and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records across multiple funds and operational areas. Fully onsite in Annapolis, MD 21401.
Salary Range: $80,000 $92,000 annually, based on experience
What You ll Do
In this role, you ll be responsible for a broad range of accounting and financial support activities, including:
- Performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Communicating with financial institutions to address banking issues
- Preparing monthly investment analyses and reconciliations
- Maintaining fixed asset schedules
- Supporting bookkeeping for multiple funds with a high degree of accuracy
- Assisting with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Preparing monthly and quarterly invoices for shared services
- Recording journal entries and analyzing property management reports
- Preparing pension contribution invoices and reconciliation reports
- Providing comprehensive payroll support, including:
- Processing biweekly payroll for U.S. and Canadian employees
- Reconciling employee hours and completing annual filings
- Assisting with benefitsrelated payments
- Supporting internal and external audits through timely and accurate documentation
- Assisting with organizationwide events and initiatives, including payment processing, reimbursements, and cost analysis
- Preparing quarterly account revaluations for financial statements
- Collaborating on special accounting and finance projects as needed
What We re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3 5 years of accounting experience with a strong grasp of standard accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential information
- Excellent written communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Background in nonprofit or labor organization accounting
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and ADP
