Position Overview
Inspiring Minds Therapeutic Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our Houston, TX team. The QMHP will provide direct behavioral health services, clinical support, care coordination, and skills-based interventions to clients receiving services.
The QMHP will complete assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, provide crisis intervention, facilitate therapeutic programming, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support positive client outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and identify client needs
* Complete and maintain required clinical assessments, including CANS/ANSA assessments as applicable
* Develop, implement, and monitor individualized service plans and treatment goals
* Provide case management, skills training, behavioral health support, and therapeutic interventions
* Facilitate evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions, including programs such as Seeking Safety and Nurturing Parenting
* Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and de-escalation support using approved techniques
* Utilize CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) principles to promote safety and reduce risk during crisis situations
* Coordinate care with families, providers, schools, community partners, and other members of the treatment team
* Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with agency standards and regulatory requirements
* Participate in treatment team meetings, supervision, training, and quality improvement initiatives
* Advocate for clients and connect them with appropriate community resources
* Maintain professional boundaries and uphold ethical standards of care
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Behavioral Health, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
* Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credential or eligibility required
* Experience providing behavioral health services, case management, counseling support, or psychosocial rehabilitation services
* Knowledge of trauma-informed care, mental health treatment practices, and community-based services
* Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Required Certifications & Training
* Current CANS/ANSA Certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)
* Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Certification (or ability to obtain)
* Nurturing Parenting Program Certification/Training preferred
* Seeking Safety Certification/Training preferred
* Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)

* Must be able to work on-site in Houston, TX
* Must comply with all agency policies, HIPAA requirements, and applicable state/federal regulations
