Summer Camp Counselor / CDL Driver
Inspiring Kids Academy is seeking an energetic, dependable, and safety-focused Summer Camp Counselor with a CDL Passenger Endorsement to join our team. This position is responsible for supervising school-age children, assisting with daily camp activities, transporting children safely on field trips, and creating a fun and engaging summer experience.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Current Driver's Physical
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification
- DCF 45-Hour Child Care Training
- Level 2 Background Screening Clearance
- Experience working with children preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
CDL Driver Responsibilities & Safety Requirements:
- Safely transport children to and from field trips and activities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Follow all federal, state, local, and company transportation regulations
- Maintain accurate transportation and attendance logs
- Ensure all children are safely loaded, unloaded, and accounted for at all times
- Perform required bus checks after each trip
- Monitor student behavior and enforce transportation safety rules
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized vehicle
- Report any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns immediately
- Demonstrate professionalism and excellent judgment while operating a passenger vehicle
Camp Counselor Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage children during camp activities
- Assist with daily schedules, games, field trips, and special events
- Maintain a safe, positive, and organized environment
- Ensure compliance with all licensing and safety regulations
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
