Job Description:
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide mobility assistance to patients, including transfers and ambulation.
- Help patients with feeding and hydration, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team regarding patient needs and concerns.
- Assist with medical procedures and care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Participate in training and continuing education to maintain certifications and improve skills.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
- licensed CNA or GNA (preferred)
- Reliable transportation
- COVID Vaccination
- CPR
- 2 step TB test
Requirements:
- High school Diploma or GED
- one year experience with in home of facilities
- six months experience working with clients with dementia (preferred)
- Caregivers should have three years of in home or facilities care
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
