What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Specialist (School Based 1 to 1) position at Inspired Footprints Family Services?
Inspired Footprints Family Services has been operating since 2014. We are a growing company and are fully dedicated to assisting our clients with achieving their treatment and personal goals. Our 1 on 1 Behavior Specialist position will provide an opportunity for a person to expand their level of experience, network, and seek room for growth. The school hours may allow a person to seek secondary employment or other opportunities within Inspired Footprints Family Services. The position will be for summer school and the 2022/2023 school year.
Duties
- Providing supervision, encouragement, and guidance to the designated student throughout the entirety of the school day.
- Reinforce and/or provide positive behavior support to the designated student in a special education learning environment as directed by the administration.
- Observe and redirect behavior of student inside and outside of classroom according to approved procedures; report progress regarding behavior to teacher; assist students by providing proper examples, emotional support, friendly attitude and general guidance.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties as necessary such as: preparation of behavioral materials, recording points, taking attendance and maintaining records and files.
- Recognizing that the well-being of our students is paramount, ensure their health and safety by following all health and safety rules and regulations.
- Completion of daily and monthly reports
- Two years experience with servicing youth with behavior, emotional, or mental health challenges is required
- A minimum of a High School Diploma is required.
- Background check is required
- 1099 will be provided at the end of the year.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
