Day Services Personal care worker

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals in our day services program. This role requires a patient-centered approach, excellent observation skills, and the ability to assist clients with daily living activities.

Duties
As a Care Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing personal care to clients, including assistance in bathroom or changing them.
• Observing and documenting patients' conditions and reporting any changes to the management team.
• Assisting with meal preparation and ensuring proper nutrition for clients.
• Supporting clients in daily activities and encouraging their independence.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Assisting with mobility and heavy lifting as needed to ensure client safety.
• Administering first aid and CPR when necessary, following established protocols.
• Building strong relationships with clients to enhance their emotional well-being.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Experience in home health, group home, or nursing home settings is preferred.
• Strong patient observation skills to monitor client health effectively.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
• A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the care environment.
• Previous experience in patient care is highly desirable.
